Business Goals

• Allow students learn new words by recording short audio clips from instructor's lectures.

Technical Goals

• To design and develop a wearable device to record audio in 15-second increments using Arduino, Raspberry Pi or Android.

Tasks

• Designed and developed wearable interface with Arduino Nano and a 3D printed enclosure. The interface was able to display pre-programmed messages and respond to button clicks.

Tasks

• Designed and developed pocket-size interface with Raspberry Pi. 

• The interface was able to display a GUI in Python and record audio in a loop

• GUI menu to share the most recent audio clip via an online messaging system to the user's phone.

• Designed and developed a smart pencil case with the Intel Edison SoC.

• The interface was able to record audio in a loop (short audio clips). 

• A tactile button prompted the system to share the most recent audio clip via an online messaging system to the user's phone.
